I could definitely understand expanding spell slots as a menu option in the options settings. But if I want to rub a few brain cells together the first thing that goes into "Not spending on that" pile are the dumb little QoL Talents.ĬLARIFICATION: I just don't understand why developers continue to include these (as talents) and maybe that's my issue. Not absent games with degenerate builds where you can utterly dominate the game with just 2-3 talents. But I'm not challenged by not having extra menus, which means those talents are essentially something I think most people would never spend on. It plays out like pretty much any other "Chosen One" game in the last 15 years.ĭETAIL: Could I challenge myself? Sure. Granted HL isn't that inspired in the talent design. With a game that doesn't let you respec (which with every sufficiently complex RPG system you should just include respec into your game.)Īdding menus to use is typically a really lazy way to frame talents. SPECIFICTY: Specifically talking about the Core Tree and being able to set more spells to a palette. r/CoOpGaming - A community for co-op gaming r/xboxone - Xbox-specific subreddit for general Xbox news and discussion r/playstation, /r/PS4 & /r/PS5 - PlayStation-specific subreddits for general PlayStation news and discussion r/pcgaming - PC gaming-specific subreddit for general PC gaming news, discussion and gaming tech support r/nintendo - Nintendo-specific subreddit for general Nintendo news and discussion r/shouldibuythisgame - Find out what's worth getting. r/gamingsuggestions - Go here to help you find your next game to play r/gaming4gamers - Discussion, bar the Hivemind Top-level comments must be at least 100 characters in length.Accounts must be at least one month old.External Links must follow these guidelines No topics that belong in other subreddits This subreddit shouldn't be used for advice of any kind.
